It all started with a single oven, a cherished family dough recipe, and one big dream: to bring real, handcrafted pizza to the people of Minnesota. Dave and Annie Davanni opened their first location in Roseville in 1975, quickly becoming the go-to spot for neighbors craving something made with care.

Decades later, that same spirit lives in every location. We still hand-toss our dough, layer on the freshest toppings, and build hoagies the old-fashioned way — because shortcuts have no place at Davanni's.

1975

The First Oven Fires Up

Dave and Annie Davanni open their first pizzeria in Roseville, MN, serving hand-tossed pies from a family recipe passed down through generations.

1982

Hoagies Join the Menu

After overwhelming requests, Davanni's introduces its legendary hoagies — fresh-baked bread, premium meats, and house-made spreads. An instant fan favorite.

1991

Expansion Across the Metro

Davanni's opens its 5th location, expanding from Roseville to serve communities in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding suburbs.

2001

Online Ordering Launches

Davanni's becomes one of the first Twin Cities restaurants to offer online ordering, making it easier than ever for guests to get their favorite meals delivered.

2010

Community Kitchen Program

We launch our Community Kitchen initiative, donating meals to local shelters and schools — over 50,000 meals served in the first year alone.

2018

Farm-to-Table Partnership

Davanni's formalizes partnerships with 12 Minnesota farms, sourcing seasonal vegetables and dairy within 150 miles of every location.
